Monday Morning QB
By Christopher Kay
Monday, November 27th 2006

I don’t blame Kiwanuka at all for not taking Vince Young down on the play. He was rightfully afraid of getting a roughing call and handing the Titans a first down. He’s wrapped around Young’s waist and can’t see at all if he’s released the ball or not. Young had his arms free… he could have easily thrown the ball and then Kiwanuka would have been flagged for bringing him down to the turf. That’s the real controversy in that play. Kiwanuka should be excused. Coughlin’s reactions during and after the game… not cool especially after telling Tiki Barber not to mouth off in public. I guess we all see where his players learned how to berate someone so the whole world can see. And Eli Manning sucks badly. No accuracy. He hasn’t regressed though, he’s just never progressed. Big, huge, monstrous, enormous difference.

No Huddle
Two late second Bills winning drives in two games. Losman is gaining more confidence in himself and his teammates are gaining more confidence in him as well. Time for more upsets? Perhaps against the Chargers who struggled against the woeful Raiders?

In case you didn’t know already… the Steelers are done. Defending Superbowl Champion Frauds. The Ravens are still surprising me; I still don’t give Billick’s firing of Fassel any credit for their wins. They’re doing great on D and ST.

Braylon Edwards… I used to like you… now you will forever be a cry baby moron for getting in Frye’s face on the sideline. Very disappointing. Shame on you.

Palmer and the Bengals are making their run, just like I told you a few weeks ago. The D got a shutout??? I didn’t see that coming at all though. No one did.

AFC East with the worst team at a 5-6 record and clinging to playoff life just might be the most competitive division from head to toe, thanks to the Raiders of course.

Drew Brees has made the Saints good. He is doing amazingly after switching teams. He picked up that offense and is leading that team instantly .

Oh, and in case I didn’t mention it before... Vick still sucks. Yes, he can run… but wasn’t that supposed to lead to wins? It isn’t. Matt Schaub is better and he should replace Vick. There should at least be talk of it.

I feel like the Pats kept their horrible field up until after the speedy Colts came to town on purposed to try and slow them down. It backfired. Keep on cheating Pats… sorry, I mean keep on ‘bending’ the rules…

When the Bears hit, they hit really hard. Great tacklers. The pass interference calls were good, especially the second one. There was absolutely no intent to go for the ball, if there was intent, it would have been an easy interception. Instead, there was a purposeful lead into the WR, forcing both to go away from the ball, thrown to the center of the field.

Wilfork is one of the dirtiest players in the league. I wonder if he’s roommates with Rodney Harrison on away games.

Mail Bag
Empty. Like my colon after a night of drinking.

Offensive Player of the Week:  Tony Romo for his 5 TD performance. Nice to see a new name other than Brees, Manning or Tomlinson here.

Defensive Player of the Week:  Adalius Thomas for his TD in leading the Ravens’ annihilation of the ‘defending champion’ Steelers.

Special Teams Player of the Week:  Roscoe Parrish for his 82 yard punt return for a TD. He dodged everyone. So much speed and shiftiness.

Joe Theismann Award of the Week: Deion Sanders. I didn’t hear him but Old Blue told me it was embarrassing to listen to his stupidities. I look forward to finding out myself this Thursday. Old Blue also didn’t like what he was wearing. I never do.

Pet Peeve of the Week: I always want to see replays during games. Especially on penalties, even false starts to see if the right call was made. I hate the people in charge of showing us replays. They’re all morons. I yell all the time at my TV for a replay that never comes my way. I know I’ve said this before... but it’s one of my biggest issues with NFL telecasts, along with horrible commentating done by the dumbest monkies even their mothers don’t love.
