I just have to tell everyone right away that Old Blue and I will be going away to study football for about 3 weeks in Argentina and I’m not sure we’ll be able to update the site in that time period from September 27th to October 20th. We’re doing this all for the sake of this FBEng.net to make it better by going all over Argentina to find out everything there is to know about football. Hopefully a hike up the Andes can answer some questions, such as when will the Patriots whole organization self destruct? My guess is sooner rather than later. Will the Steelers make the playoffs? I already have that answer… no, they won’t. But I’ll get confirmation from some Argentine guru of sorts I’m sure.
No Huddle
The Bills look good. They looked good again against the Jets… but they keep making dumb mistakes here and there which kills them. JP Losman has over 300 yards passing and McGahee has 150 yards rushing… and the Bills still lose.
I still hate Hines Ward. I disgusted me to see him kicking a Bengals player while he was trying to get up. Very unsportsmanlike, but Ward has done many such things. He isn’t the nice guy everyone thinks he is. He’s got you all fooled.
The Bengals are the new AFC North team to beat.
Shut up Joey Porter! Everyone and their mother hates you!
The Steelers will miss the playoffs simply because for the last few years, the Superbowl loser has missed the playoffs. When this happens, it will only solidify further the fact that the Seahawks got robbed by the refs and are the true Superbowl champions.
If ever there should be a WR MVP it should be Steve Smith. He IS the Carolina Panthers. Delhomme is nothing without him.
Culpepper sucks. He needs some serious rehabbing to do or he just stinks. He can’t even do well against the pathetic Titans! It also looks like Nick Saban is an over hyped coach. The barely escaped with a victory at HOME against the Kerry Collins led Titans!
The Jags played tougher than I expected and this game, despite it being a loss to the Colts should quiet a lot of skeptics.
The Vikings played tough against the Bears. The Bears offense was brought back to Earth a little. It’s still leap and bounds better than last year’s pathetic excuse for an attack.
It seemed like the Seahawks were looking forward to this game during the past two weeks and may have been overlooking the Lions and Cardinals. They weren’t happy about winning last year against the Giants only to have certain regal sports writers not give them any credit… well, I’m sure this shut that Queen up. It was an annihilation! Embarrassing!
Didn’t some people say Eli Manning had his coming out party last week by pulling out a fluke win and chucking some prayers up to beat the Eagles? Sorry Tiki. Sorry media. Eli’s back home and he’s not even coming out of the closet yet, let alone as a good NFL QB.
The Giants got some garbage points at the end because it’s only human nature for a team to let up when it’s leading 42-3. The Giants don’t play good in the no-huddle, or late in games… their opponents let up because they’re thrashing them!
The Eagles bounced back as expected.
Bettis has to soon learn how to be unbiased towards the Steelers. It’s a little embarrassing and unprofessional how far he goes with proclaiming how much he likes them. I’m fine with that in moderation, but he’s taking it to a whole new level. It’s as if he still thinks he’s playing for them.
Fire your tailor Bettis! Your suits are hideously huge!
The Ravens barely won against the Browns and basically got lucky in the end to pull it out. I guess they aren’t the super team that some thought they were with their easy victories against weak opponents…. Who woulda thunk it? Oh, me.
Pink is doing the opening theme for Sunday Night Football? I don’t like it.
That’s loss number 1 for the Patriots and as soon as a few more come their way, they whole organization will implode. Before they started winning, the team was in chaos and the players were ripping the organization and Belichick. Well, a few more losses and it will all start again and I look forward to it. Perhaps it’s already begun with Brady crying over Branch all the time.
Mail Bag
Sorry, no mail this week. Except of course adds to make lots of money in Nigeria. And some penis enlargement ads… fool me once…
Offensive Player of the Week: Whenever you have 5 TDs passing… you get this award, and that’s exactly what Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck did as he destroyed the Strahan and the Giants.
Defensive Player of the Week: Seahawks Safety Ken Hamlin for his 2 interceptions early against Eli Manning and the Giants. It makes sense that in one of the feature and supposedly good games of the weekend the score ends up being 42-3 in the 4th quarter that the Offensive MVP and Defensive MVP are from the same team.
Special Teams Player of the Week: Panthers Kicker John Kasay for kicking 4 FGs over 45 yards, including the game winner. HE also got paid the best complement when opposing Coach John Gruden jokingly said he hated John Kasay.
Joe Theismann Award of the Week: Phil Simms said that Big Ben lost his power due to his off season troubles and his appendectomy when he tossed up a bad pass. Then in the replay it shows that Big Ben slipped while he was releasing the ball (which was obvious)… good call Phil… good call. P.S. You suck!
Pet Peeve of the Week: Again, as last season, there were numerous times when there should have been a TV replay of either a nice play or a penalty that they didn’t show. It boggles my mind as to why not. Football stops so often, which is why showing instant replays makes the game so great to scrutinize everything! Especially penalties to see if the refs called it right!
