Monday Morning QB
By Christopher Kay
Monday, November 8th 2006

Britney Spears is single!!!! Thank God she has come to her senses. I’ve loved her from day 1, and stuck by her during these tumultuous two years while she was married to ‘it’. I would gladly marry her and raise Sean Preston and Jayden James. I wrote her a letter once but it was never returned. I’m still hurt by it, but she probably wanted to divorce ‘it’ before she got in touch with me. I had to lead with this and my MMQB is a bit late because of this shocking news because I was too excited that my dream of being Mr. Christopher Spears may soon come true. I had to lead off with this and not football because I’m in love…

No Huddle
Mike Vick sucks… as I thought. He will never be consistent.

Peyton Manning is better than Tom Brady end of story. This shouldn’t even be a debate. The only argument for Brady is his wins. Last I checked football is a team sport. And last I checked the same sports writers lauding Brady for winning Superbowls are the same one’s that say Defense wins Superbowls. Um, Brady doesn’t play on defense.

Larry Johnson is a great RB, but I despise his attitude.

Brian Billick dials up another interception return for a TD. What a marvelous offensive coordinator. It’s a great thing he took over play calling duties. That fumble by the Bengals was a hugely blown call.

The “champion” Steelers lost suck.

Mail Bag

Hey, Chris Kay, I just read your MMQB and you said Ocho Cinco was doing
the tango, but it wasn't, it was salsa or something like that, which is
very different, are you trying to say that all latinos dance the same
thing?  How dare you?  Or maybe you're just ignorant, you say you were
in argentina, didn't you learn anything there?  Oh and as for people
imitating Ocho Cinco, his teammate Chris Henry did it, but in that case
I think it's fine, how do you feel about that?  What do you have against
Jim Mora, I think he's a fine coach, he's made the Falcons into a pretty
good team, and he's gotten Vick to play like a QB while at the same time
he lets him do his Vick thing, you gotta admit he's had a great season,
early in the season he did it with his legs, and now he's throwing it,
granted mostly to Alge Crumpler.  As for Peyton Manning, I definately
agree he's the best qb out there, and possibly as good or better than
Dan Marino, he's fun to watch and some of his commercials are hilarious,
I really like him, unlike his brother.  One last thing, I don't
understand how you gave Merriman defensive player of the week, granted
he had a good week, but he's juiced, think Steve Lattimer from The
Program, are you familiar with that movie?  He's a cheater, you
shouldn't award a cheater.  I'm sure Old Blue would agree with me!

Opionated Guacho

Hey Opionated Guacho (did you mean Opinionated Gaucho? Ever heard of spell check?),
I knew it was the salsa, but since I was in Argentina, the birthplace of the Tango, I decided to call it the tango. But you’re right, I should have called it what it really was… the best Salsa dance ever!
As for Chris Henry doing the dance, I’m fine with a player of the same team imitating a celebration, it shows camaraderie amongst teammates.
Jim Mora and his great team the Falcons? I hope you saw the loss against the Lions. Enough said.
I do believe, and I don’t think it’s too early to say so… Peyton is the best QB to ever play the game.
It’s sad that Merriman is juiced and I’ll have a hard time ever awarding him Defensive MVP again once he returns.

Offensive Player of the Week:  Drew Brees. What a great addition to the Saints. I bet Saban and the whole Dolphins organization are kicking themselves for choosing Culpepper over him in the off season.

Defensive Player of the Week:  Britney Spears for sacking K Fed.

Special Teams Player of the Week:  Britney Spears for punting K Fed to the curb.

Joe Theismann Award of the Week:  Instead of bashing someone, this week I’d just like to say that Madden said some smart things. Weird.

Pet Peeve of the Week: K Fed.
