Week #12
Thursday
Miami Dolphins at Detroit Lions
It’s time for the Dolphins to drop a game. It’s time for the Lions to win a game.
Lions over Dolphins 23-20
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys look really good as of late and I can’t see the Bucs being able to come up with an upset, even if Romo finally puts up a bad game.
Cowboys over Buccaneers 27-13
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs
Plummer is struggling as of late but so are the Chiefs who’re coming off a loss to the Dolphins and a squeaker win over the Raiders. The Broncos will pull it off on the road.
Broncos over Chiefs 28-24
Sunday
New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons
After being so damn bad the past few weeks, the Falcons have GOT to put together one good game. Vick is supposed to be horribly inconsistent and he’s being very consistently horrible so he’s got to fluke something out this week.
Falcons over Saints 33-30
Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns
The Bengals are turning it around now and making their move for a playoff berth. The Browns played the Steelers tough last week, but they’ll fall short against a better Bengals team this week.
Bengals over Browns 28-20
San Francisco 49ers at St-Louis Rams
The Rams ran very well against the Seahawks last week, but they only won the game after such a great rushing performance by Gore because Seneca Wallace repeatedly threw the ball straight to 49ers DBs. Bulger has been very careful with the ball this year so the 49ers won’t be so lucky this time. No playoffs for you!
Rams over Niners 30-20
Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens
The Steelers struggled mightily against the Brown last week and for much of the season for that matter. The Ravens however have been getting very lucky with their opportunistic play each week and, as is the case often with this type of play, it runs out eventually.
Steelers over Ravens 14-10
Carolina Panthers at Washington Redskins
Campbell is too young to avoid the mistakes that Peppers will cause him to make.
Panthers over Redskins 27-23
Minnesota Vikings at Arizona Cardinals
Wow. The Cardinals actually won last week. Can Leinart do it again? No, sorry, not yet.
Vikings over Cardinals 32-27
Houston Texans at New York Jets
The Jets played the Bears tough and lost because Pennington was hopelessly off target all game. If it’s due to an injury, then he’ll do the same this week giving the demoralized Texans a chance. I think it was just an anomaly and possibly fear of the Bears defense.
Jets over Texans 28-27
Jacksonville Jaguars at Buffalo Bills
The Bills won last week, but only because of a huge first quarter. Their defense isn’t good at all and their offense doesn’t do much. The Jags defense will suffocate Losman even more than they Bills suffocate themselves and the Jags will run all day against a poor run defense. Where are you Takeo Spikes?
Jaguars over Bills 24-6
Oakland Raiders at San Diego Chargers
The Chargers better not overlook this one. Oops. It’s the Raiders. They can afford to overlook them of course.
Chargers over Raiders 27-7
New York Giants at Tennessee Titans
The Giants are in turmoil. Eli sucks and people are starting to finally acknowledge this fact. He’s always sucked. Barber is getting frustrated for lack of involvement so this week Coughlin will use Barber all day and it’ll work, causing many to think that maybe Barber should coach the team. Oh, and Vince Young is horrible and always will be.
Giants over Titans 28-14
Chicago Bears at New England Patriots
People love the Patriots in this game… not a chance. Grossman can light up the scoreboard every once and a while, and this will be one of the weeks. The Bears defense will shut down any running game the Pats will try and mount and then they’ll tee off on Brady knocking him down repeatedly and throwing off his accuracy.
Bears over Patriots 33-10
Indianapolis Colts at Philadelphia Eagles
No McNabb means no win. I like Garcia, and the Eagles will have a chance if their defense performs like they can and they run the ball. But then again, Peyton is still Peyton, and possibly even more so after a loss.
Colts over Eagles 38-14
Monday
Seattle Seahawks at Green Bay Packers
The Seahawks will bounce back after Wallace threw away the last game literally by his mind numbingly dumb passes. The Packers should try to run on the Seahawks since everyone and their mother is having success on the ground against them this year. The Seahawks are just too good a team and should have the heart and soul (and mind) of this team under center Monday night in Hasselbeck.
Seahawks over Packers 35-24
