WEEKLY PICKS
Week 14

Old Blue's Weekly Picks

Last Week (vs. Spread): 11-5 (9-7)
Overall (vs. Spread): 105-73 (81-97)

Week #14

Thursday

Cleveland at Pittsburgh
The Steelers are at home and their determined to finish this season on a good note.
20-13 Steelers over Browns

Sunday

Minnesota at Detroit
Who’s gonna start at qb this week for the Vikes, only Brad Childress knows, if it’s Brad Johnson I think he will bounce back, and if it’s rookie Tarvaris Jackson he will have a decent game, either way I predict the Vikings will win.  I don’t believe in the Lions anymore!
Vikings over Lions 24-20

Oakland at Cincinnati
The Bengals must win this game, they’re the better team and they should run over the pathetic Raiders.
Bengals over Raiders 30-7

NY Giants at Carolina
A battle between two of the biggest disappointments this season, these two teams should have a playoff spot locked by now, but for some reason are still fighting for a spot and atleast one of them will be out of the picture.  I think the Panthers will be more desperate and will finally pull ahead in their final drive.
Panthers over Giants 25-23

Philadelphia at Washington
The Eagles pulled off a big win last week against the Panthers, will they be able to transfer that momentum to this week?  I think so, I like Jeff Garcia and feel like he can lead the Eagles to the playoffs.
Eagles over Redskins 24-20

Atlanta at Tampa Bay
The Falcons will come into this game running the ball, cause that’s how they can win games and it’s what they’re good at.  While the Bucs have no offense and they won’t be able to match the Falcons.
Falcons over Bucs 21-14

Baltimore at Kansas City
Can the Ravens win at Arrowhead, I don’t think it’s going to happen.  The Ravens will suffer a 2nd consecutive loss and all talk of them as superbowl contenders will be put to rest for a few more weeks.
Chiefs over Ravens 21-13

New England at Miami
The Pats struggle against the Lions last week, was it just 1 bad week, a letdown after that big win over the Bears?  Were they feeling too confident?  We’ll know this week, if they can beat the Dolphins this week they are for real.  I think will come up big in this game and lead his Pats to victory.
Patriots over Dolphins 21-18

Indianapolis at Jacksonville
The last time these two played, the Jags started the game off by running all over the Colts defense, totaling dominating the first half, we all know how susceptible the Colts are to the run.  I think this week the Colts will come out firing and get a big early lead and this will make the Jags have to throw the ball more.
Colts over Jags 30-17

Tennessee at Houston
Vince Young and the Titans roll into Houston, the Texans will find it pretty tough to stop Young as well as Travis Henry.  But at the same time, I look to David Carr and Andre Johnson to have big games.
Titans over Texans 21-20

Green Bay at San Francisco
The Packers are finally back to normal, after people thought they might actually make the playoffs, and everyone was talking about Favre having fun again, well he was playing pretty bad teams.  I don’t see them winning San Francisco this week and Frank Gore is going to have another big game leading his Niners to victory.
49ers over Packers 24-13

Seatte at Arizona
The Seahawks come into Arizona after beating the Broncos at mile-high, will they have a let down?  They will, and this will make the game a lot closer than it should be, but the Seahawks will come out on top.
Seahawks over Cardinals 27-24

Denver at San Diego
I predicted two weeks ago that the Chargers would beat the Broncos this week and I’m sticking to that.
Chargers over Broncos 27-17

Buffalo at NY Jets
Christopher Kay’s Bills play my Jets this week, and we’re gonna spank the Bills.  GO JETS! J!-E!-T!-S! JETS! JETS! JETS!
Jets over Bills 21-18

New Orleans at Dallas
The Saints march into Dallas this week, two of the better QBs this year in the NFC face off in the Sunday Nighter.  I’m picking Romo and the Boys to win in a good offensive game.
Cowboys over Saints 30-27

Monday

Chicago at St-Louis
Will Bulger’s harsh words towards some of his teammates wake them up?  I’d like to think so and that is why I’m picking the Rams to upset the Bears this week, once again Grossman’s mistakes will cost the Bears.
Rams over Bears 28-24
