Christopher Kay’s Weekly Picks

Last Week (vs. Spread): 8-8 (6-10)
Overall (vs. Spread): 8-8 (6-10)

Week #2

Sunday

New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles
These are the Eagles of old and McNabb is truly back to form. The Eagles will do a much better job of slowing Barber down than the Colts did.
Eagles over Giants 27-24

Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins
The Bills played surprisingly well against the Pats on the road last week, but their glaring weakness was stopping the run. Ronnie Brown should have a lot of fun against the Bills.
Dolphins over Bills 23-21

Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts
The Texans would put up a fight early against the Colts last year only to lose lopsidedly in the end. This year won’t be much different. The Colts are so much better than the Texans that they can’t lose.
Colts over Texans 33-13

Oakland Raiders at Baltimore Ravens
Everyone is way to high on the Ravens after only one win over the agin Bucs defense. Also don’t forget that Simms is still learning and wil struggle sometimes. I’d love to bring the Ravens down to earth with a loss this week, but the Raiders are just plain horrible.
Ravens over Raiders 20-10

New Orleans Saints at Green Bay Packers
The Packers are home underdogs to the Saints. Wow The Packers can’t possibly go 0-16 this year…. right? This will be one of their rare wins.
Packers over Saints 27-20

Carolina Panthers at Minnesota Vikings
The Panthers woes will continue as they face the Vikings on the road. Yes they’re desperate… but Steve Smith is still hurting and Delhomme doesn’t know how to look for another receiver.
Vikings over Panthers 16-13

Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals
The Browns looked horrible last week. The Bengals looked good last week, especially with their surprising defense. Chad Johnson wants to have an end zone celebration and he will. I look forward to it.
Bengals over Browns 32-13

Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears
Even though the Lions didn’t beat the Seahawks last week, they must have gained a lot of confidence by keeping it so close against the defending NFC Champs. They’ll carry this momentum over to Chicago and upset the Bears.
Lions over Bears 20-17

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons
The Bucs need to bounce back from last week’s embarrassment. They will by going into Atlanta and bringing the back to earth. The Bucs have been traditionally good against the Falcons.
Buccaneers over Falcons 23-21

St. Louis Rams at San Francisco 49ers
The Rams look good with Steven Jackson and the Niners are still rebuilding.
Rams over 49ers 34-20

Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks have to show everyone including themselves that they aren’t going to follow recent history of Superbowl losers missing the playoffs the year after. They should come out fired up for this divisional game.
Seahawks over Cardinals 31-17

Tennessee Titans at San Diego Chargers
Rivers is coming along slowly, which the Chargers can afford to do with LT getting a lot of chances.
Chargers over Titans 24-14

New England Patriots at New York Jets
When Pennington is healthy.. he wins. He seemed healthy last week and the Jets won. The Pats have lost too many good players with their ruthless style of player management. The players on the team (including Brady) seem to be on the verge of dissent. This will all bubble over the top into a controversy once the Pats start losing a lot this season.
Jets over Patriots 20-16

Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos
Huard is starting at QB for the Chiefs.
Broncos over Chiefs 32-10

Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys
The cowboys are starting to have QB questions with Romo waiting for his turn behind Bledsoe. This should motivate whoever starts at QVB to put up a decent performance.
Cowboys over Redskins 17-14

Monday

Pittsburgh Steelers at Jacksonville Jaguars
The Steelers aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. They’re good… but I’m sorry to say not great.
Jaguars over Steelers 26-17
