WEEKLY PICKS
Week 9

Old Blue's Weekly Picks

Last Week (vs. Spread): 7-7 (7-7)
Overall (vs. Spread): 60-40 (41-59)

Week #9

Sunday

Miami Dolphins at Chicago Bears (-14.5)
This is my upset special, the Dolphins are gonna surprise everyone and beat the Bears.  Oh wait, it’s not april 1st, nevermind, the Bears will kill the Phins.
Bears over Dolphins 37-10

Atlanta Falcons at Detroit Lions (+6.5)
I think the Lions are a pretty good team, they just always find ways of losing, they gotta get that winning attitude.  And now that they’re 1-6 they’re gonna play more lose, and they’re going to start surprising people starting this week in Atlanta.
Lions over Falcons 27-21

Houston Texans at New York Giants (-13.5)
The Texans will come out firing, Carr is gonna be on top of his game, specially after that benching, and the Texans are gonna have an early big lead.  But then in the late 3rd quarter and 4th quarters the Giants will attempt a comeback, will it work? I think so.
Giants over Texans 30-27

New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+1.5)
The Bucs simply can’t do much on offense, it seems like they can only score on defense.  The Saints are going to score enough points to overcome this and they will win easily.
Saints over Bucs 27-13

Kansas City Chiefs at St. Louis Rams (-2.5)
Bulger and Jackson will have big games for the Rams and this should be a shootout between two potent offenses, I see the Rams winning in the end.
Rams over Chiefs 33-27

Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravenss (-3.5)
I love Ocho Cinco, therefore I love the Bengals, this should be a huge divisional match-up.  The Bengals haven’t looked too good lately, but a win this week and they’ll get their confidence back and will have the division in their pockets.
Bengals over Ravens 28-27

Green Bay Packers at Buffalo Bills (-3.5)
Neither Favre nor the Bills have ever won in Buffalo and I expect this trend to continue.
Bills over Packers 28-24

Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars (-9.5)
The Titans suck and the Jags are gonna run all over them with Taylor and Jones-Drew and Garrard will get another win as a starter, adding to the existing QB controversy.
Jags over Titans 20-17

Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins (+3.5)
Romo is gonna keep on rolling and the Cowboys are going to roll over the Skins who have been struggling of late.
Cowboys over Redskins 27-20

Minnesota Vikings at San Francisco 49ers (+6.5)
The Vikings are a pretty good team and should bounce back this week against a weak Niners team.
Vikings over 49ers 23-13

Cleveland Browns at San Diego Chargers (-13.5)
How will the Chargers do without Merriman? We’ll see this week, they should have an easy time against the Browns.
Chargers over Browns 25-17

Denver Broncos at Pittsburgh Steelers (-1.5)
The Steelers aren’t looking very good lately, losing to one of the worst teams in the NFL is quite the embarrassment, will they bounce back?  It’s going to be tough, since the Broncos are very strong, I see the Broncos winning in a close one.
Broncos over Steelers 23-20

Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots (-2.5)
This is a huge game, and at the same time it’s been overhyped.  However it should a lot of fun to see the top two QBs in the NFL duke it out.  I like Manning in this one so I’m going with the Colts
Colts over Patriots 30-27

Monday

Oakland Raiders at Seattle Seahawks (-7.5)
The Raiders have come up with two straight wins, will this winning trend continue this week?  I don’t think so.  Even without their QB and star RB the Seahawks should still win.
Seahawks over Raiders 21-14
